Shopping in Rome
one of the most pleasant experiences you can have while visiting the Eternal City. There are countless opportunities: boutiques of Italian stylists or designer outlets of great international brands, craftsmen workshops or antique stores, local products or food and wine... the variety is incredibly wide and there's something for every kind of budget. It is impossible to come back from Rome without some souvenir. If you're wondering where to go shopping in Rome, and which streets have the best stores, here are some tips from us. We can say we're experts in the matter: we're in the heart of Rome's shopping district, and we're always up-to-date.
where should you start from? From via del Corso! This long thoroughfare, which connects piazza Venezia to piazza del Popolo, is Rome's most visited shopping street and hosts designer outlets for clothes, cosmetics, and accessories. Falconeri, Diesel, Mango, Sephora and Lush are just some of the brands whose stores you'll find on this street. The nearby via Condotti, via Frattina and via Borgognona are also called “the luxury trident”, because of the many boutiques of the most famous (and expensive) luxury brands, such as Bulgari, Pomellato, Dior, Armani, and Jimmy Choo. This really is Rome's luxury-shopping district. In 2018 the Rinascente opened a department store in via del Tritone: eight floors of luxury with a spectacular restaurant on its rooftop and, at floor -1, the monumental “Aqua Virgo”, the aqueduct completed in 19 BC by Marcus Agrippa, during the reign of the emperor Augustus, to supply water to Rome's fountains.
